Abuja traditional ruler slumps, dies in palace

The whole palace of Yaba in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was thrown into mourning yesterday night, when the traditional ruler of Yaba, Abaji area council, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu slumped and pronounced dead in the hospital.

A close member of the late traditional ruler, Shuaibu Abdullahi, who confirmed the news of his death on Thursday night, stated that, the Etsu of Yaba Chiefdom slumped on his way to observe Magrib prayer, within the palace.

According to Abdullahi, the late monarch was rushed to the Abaji General Hospital, by his aides, immediately, he slumped.

However, the late Alhaji Adamu was pronounced dead by the Doctors, at the Abaji General Hospital, late in the night, yesterday.

He said, “immediately he slumped, they moved him inside the car to the hospital, but unfortunately on arrival at the hospital, doctors confirmed him dead.”

According to the family source, the remains of the late monarch has been taken to Yaba for burial this morning.
