Asbury revival enters day 12 as varsity cancels classes

Asbury University has continued to make the news after a week say church service had transformed to what would later span days.

Recall that Religion Nigeria had reported that the revival turned program had attracted hundreds of students who joined from neighboring communities and institutions.

In a latest development, the revival which started on the 8th of February has entered its day 12, as students have continued to gather together at the varsity’s church to fellowship together.

It has also been reported that the varsity’s management has cancelled classes for the week, while an additional chapel has been opened in the institution to accommodate more worshippers.

The University President Dr. Kevin Brown, in an interview with newsmen stated, “The first day we had a very ordinary service, I would call it unremarkable”.

“It has absolutely been social media that is the mechanism that people found out about this,” said Mark Whitworth, Asbury University’s vice president of communications.
