Three days after the gruesome murder of Deborah Yakubu, the photographs of her grieving parents, names undisclosed, have surfaced.
Deborah, a Christian 200-level Home Economics student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, was beaten and stoned to death before her corpse was set ablaze over allegedly blasphemous statements against Prophet Muhammad.
The arrest of her suspected killers led to a riot in the state on Saturday as hoodlums attacked churches and shops in some parts of the state.
Some youths of the state stormed out to demand the release of those arrested over the lynching of Yakubu.
However, the remains of Yakubu were buried amidst tears in her hometown, Tungan Magajiya in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State on Saturday.
