The Redeemed Christian Church of God’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, in the wee hours of Friday revealed how the devil almost made him miss his church’s first Holy Ghost service of the year 2023.
Religion Nigeria reports that the church holds a monthly vigil, dubbed the Holy Ghost service, at the Redemption Camp ground in Ogun State every first Friday of each month.
Adeboye who preached during Thursday’s holy communion service held at the camp ground shocked his congregation when he revealed that the devil, through a strange stomach upset, almost made him miss the January editon of the HGS.
The clergyman who sat through his sermon revealed how he got his healing while watching his son, Adeleke, preach hours before he mounted the pulpit.
As of that time, Adeboye said he was in his prayer room battling the severe pain.
He said, “The devil fought so I would not be here this evening. I have been in my prayer room for days I did not go out. I can’t remember eating anything. But I woke up this morning with a terrible stomach disorder.”
“The one hour I spent with them was a little hell on earth. They did not notice. I managed to get to my prayer room after the prayer” he said.
“I was listening to the preacher … even though I was in agony. All of a sudden he said, say amen somebody. He said there was a brother who said amen and what was troubling him got out of him. I said amen loud and clear.”
“I ran to the toilet(after saying Amen) and what was troubling me got out,” Adeboye said as the congregation erupted in excitement.
