Don’t sell your votes, cleric warns Kaduna residents

Archbishop of Kaduna Archdiocese, Most Reverend Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, has warned Kaduna residents against selling their votes during the 2023 general elections.

The cleric stated this in his Christmas message on Saturday.

According to the Archbishop, ‘no eligible voter should be denied the right to vote due to a lack of access to his or her permanent voter card and polling stations, and voting by selling or buying is not only prohibited under the law, but also a sin before God.’

He also told the Independent National Electoral Commission to do everything in its power to make sure the next general election is held in a free and fair way that lets all eligible citizens vote.

Ndagoso appealed to all the faithful of the Archdiocese and indeed all people of goodwill to ensure that no matter how much sacrifice it requires they should ensure that they have their PVCs collected
