Eid-el-Fitr: Senator Abiru calls for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians
The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Adetokunbo Abiru, has called for peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians.
Senator Abiru made this call in a statement by his media aide, Enitan Olukotun on Friday, to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration signifying the end of Ramadan.
He commended the Muslim Ummah for their sacrifice, steadfastness, and perseverance in obedience to the instruction of Almighty Allah during the period.
He said, “On behalf of my family, I felicitate with my esteemed constituents, particularly the Muslim Ummah of the Lagos East Senatorial District.
“I admonish you to continue on the glorious path of godly living we all lived during the Holy month of Ramadan. Eid el-Fitr festival symbolizes sacrifice, selflessness, love and obedience to the tenets of Islam.
“I, therefore, enjoin us to draw enduring lessons from Ramadan and show love to one another as well as promote harmony, peaceful coexistence, and leverage our diversity for national development.
“I also use this season to implore all Nigerians to continue to pray for our dear nation and also support and cooperate with the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The enormous task of nation-building requires the support of all well-meaning and patriotic citizens. Therefore, we should collectively join hands to rebuild our nation.
“I wish all Muslims Happy Eid El Fitr celebrations and may the Almighty Allah continue to bless our nation. Ameen”.
