The erstwhile Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, has made a contribution of N200 million to diverse groups of individuals within the state in commemoration of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
This is disclosed in a statement signed by the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, issued in Gusau on Saturday by the State Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.
The recipients, according to Danfulani, the distribution committee’s chairman, included party members, supporters, women, and organisations and youth groups.
“Other beneficiaries were orphans and the less privileged, Islamic scholars, media practitioners, and social media handlers, among others.
“The gesture is aimed at assisting people to celebrate the upcoming 2023 Eid-el-Kabir festival with ease.
“The committee had already started the distribution of the money to all the beneficiaries,” Idris quoted Danfulani as saying.
Danfulani commended Matawalle for the kindness and praised it as timely since it will ease the state’s citizens’ financial burden, particularly at the local level.
The party’s Chairman stated that the committee would make certain that all of the designated recipients received the gesture by Wednesday.
