The Apostolic Faith, a Pentecostal church with roots in Nigeria, gave N2,650,000 to seven business owners on Thursday night.

The grants were presented by Isaac Adigun, District Superintendent of the Church in West and Central Africa, at the “Ebenezer Night” closing ceremony of the 2022 International Youth Camp, which took place in Ogun State.

The PUNCH reported that the youth arm of the church had invited young business owners to submit business proposals in an effort to win funding for their ventures.

Seven contenders were, nonetheless, narrowed down.

The organization announced in a brief statement on its Facebook page that Mary Olalere, the first runner up, received N750,000, while Moses Eno, the second runner up, received N500,000.

Salome Sunday, a baker from the church’s Abuja branch, was declared the winner and given the sum of N1m.

The church also said, “Out of the seven remaining contestants, we have the final three, and the remaining four people will be going home with N100,000 each”.

Salome Sunday, the competition’s winner, expressed appreciation to the competition’s organizers, saying; “I am very grateful to God, the church and the YDD for this wonderful opportunity.”
