The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye says he believes that God is not pleased with the massacre of unarmed worshippers in Owo, Oyo State.

Religion Nigeria reported that many Catholics were gruesomely killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen during Sunday morning mass at the St. Francis Catholic Church causing outrage.

Adeboye who had remained silent since Sunday’s unfortunate event finally broke his silence in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.

“My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered from this gruesome attack.

“I am unable to grasp the evil that motivates one human being to deliberately take the life of another.

“Every soul counts before God, and I know that He is greatly displeased with this wickedness.

“I pray that God sends such greetings again. And may Nigeria never know such bloodshed again,” Adeboye said.

Meanwhile, the governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, declared seven days to mourn the deceased in the attack while the Nigeria flag was flown halfway in honour of the victims.
