Why single ladies must establish relationship with God – Lagos pastor
The Presiding Pastor and Founder of HillTop City Christian Center, Victor Akintunde has urged single ladies to establish good relationship with God in their quest for good husband noting that some would not marry before they died.
The Nation reported that Akintunde made this disclosure while speaking with journalists at the church ‘Singles Connect’ held at the church International Headquarters in Ojodu, Lagos.
He called on the church to refrain from unscriptural things that are contrary to word of God.
He stated that the word of God is the compass that give the believers direction and they are unchangeable promise of God
He also cautioned against placing emphasy on prosperity gospel during their gathering and revivals, adding they should prioritize salvation and soul winning as stipulated by Christ Jesus.
While criticizing the influence of the internet and the and it’s influence on the global village, noted the phenomenon poses a serious challenge to men of God today.
He implored church leaders who were truly called by God to take up the responsibility to preach the undiluted word of God saying that if they don’t, they would be held responsible for their negligence.
Discussing the Christian singles, he urged the single ladies to go through biblical standard in going into marriage, adding that involve God in their search for a happy home.
“Let us focus on things that God will be happy about. It is very possible to have a clear relationship in our time. It is possible to have a relationship that does not glorify the flesh
“We need to establish our place in God. The desire to marry must not overshadow our desire to please God, saying that some will not marry until they died.”
He asked those who are willing to served God to re-established their relationship with God stating that many have derailed due to the anxiety to marry.
“They compromise on God’s standard and they pay for it. It is troubled and their relationship with God cut off and eventually, their marriage ended and they are back to square one”, he said.
