Eze Okorie did the endorsement in synergy with some selected traditional rulers representing the five local governments of the senatorial district.

According to The Sun, the monarch described Kalu as a gift to humanity who has qualities needed to transform Abia state.

They said the endorsement is a symbolic demonstration of the determination of the people of Abia North to see that power returns to the Senatorial District.

“You are a true son of Abia North and we know the family that you come from. In all sincerity of purpose, we endorse you for the governorship position. Go, soar like an eagle and reclaim what belongs to us,” said Eze Okorie.

The monarchs were said to have endorsed Kalu after careful observation and examination of governorship candidates in the state.

Aside being young, experienced and has the political stamina against opposition parties, he was noted for his knowledge in politics and governance.

The council of chiefs urged him not to make the mistake others had made in the past as they encouraged all to vote in peace.
