The former Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Catholic Chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has urged his aggrieved supporters to remain calm.
Fr. Mbaka made the call on Wednesday via the Church’s official Facebook page where he bid his final goodbye to his staunch supporters.
Religion Nigeria reported that Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was appointed to take the reins of affairs of the Adoration Ministry following Mbaka’s transfer to the monastery.
Perturbed by the development, the AMEN members who were delighted as the church was reopened following months of closure, protested the change of clerics.
Appealing to his teeming followers to accept in good faith the new development, Fr. Mbaka in his farewell message said, ‘I want you to remain calm as written in Psalm 46:10.”
Taking his demotion in good faith, the cleric said, “I wish to use this opportunity to bless and encourage you as I depart to the monastery in obedience to my bishop.”
He continued, “This is a time we shall know the real Adorers. Please, back me with your prayers so that I will go and embark on deeper reflections and interior waiting on the Lord. I want to remind you of Jeremiah 29:13, God will reverse everything.
“God has good plans for us and not to destroy us. This is not a time to be sorrowful. Be calm and vigilant. Stop every form of protest and demonstration. I love you and I will be with you. God bless you.”
